A very reputable winemaker of Lazio, Mario Macciocca works with a strictly natural method on an area of ​​4 hectares, of which 3 in Cesanese and the remaining vineyard in Passerina. Vineyards located on the slopes of the Scalambra, Pila Rocca and Carmine mountains, along the Simbruini chain, on hills that are defined in a particularly favorable environment for Cesanese viticulture, protected from the coldest winds and with south and west exposures, to benefit from a moderately temperate climate.
Part of the strains dating back as far as 1945, which develop on lands geologically referable to the Cretaceous and consist mainly of marly limestone, sandstone, with a lower percentage of clays. Characteristics that differ from the adjacent hills, whose soils derive instead from Miocene sandstones with a lot of volcanic components. Four hectares of seven labels and a very heavy bulk wine, all to be found.
