For three generations, the property has expressed a union between wine and hospitality. Grandfather Umberto Salvioni, a doctor in agriculture, made wine for friends; for the pleasure of being together and sharing a good glass. Giulio, his son, thought of extending the circle of friendship by creating, together with his wife Mirella, a company capable of producing a limited quantity of excellent bottles. The first Brunello della Cerbaiola was in 1985, followed by other happy vintages that have brought the name of Montalcino and the passion of the Salvionis well beyond national borders. Over time, his son David, a graduate in agriculture, has taken over the winemaking management. And for a few years now, his sister, Alessia, has completed the family structure, working alongside her father in marketing and administration.
